About Our Firm

In 2020, after several decades of assisting clients and/or constituents, Tina Francone and Cynthia Beyer have pooled their talents to create a one stop government relations, community affairs and lobbying firm - Straightforward Communication. Both principals are experienced professionals, and their individual strengths combine to create a synergy of local, state and federal government expertise, contacts, campaign experience and legal knowledge. Areas of focus: transportation, infrastructure, EMP, sand and gravel, tiny homes, parking collections, water law, local government, community outreach.

Christina (Tina) Francone

Tina is a former Jefferson County Commissioner and a former RTD Director. Both elected offices required the development, oversight, and implementation of budgets in excess of $1B. In addition, policy development, implementation and careful monitoring of local, state and federal legislation was important. As a County Commissioner, Tina served on the Chatfield Watershed Authority where she expanded her knowledge of water and water infrastructure and broadened her knowledge and ability to identify critical policy issues affecting water quality, delivery and infrastructure.

Tina is also a NRA Certified Firearms Instructor and owns and operates one of Colorado’s leading firearms instruction businesses, Straightforward Shooting.  A frequent voice on Colorado radio, Tina is a sought-after commentator and writer on local politics, transportation, water infrastructure, firearms training and shooting sports. Tina and her husband, Frank are longtime Jefferson County residents and are immensely proud of their son, Frank, who is a junior at Colorado Christian University.

Cynthia M. Beyer

Cynthia Beyer has been a practicing attorney for the past 32 years. In 1989, she began her career as an Assistant District Attorney, Milwaukee County, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1995, Ms. Beyer moved to Colorado where she practiced law in the areas of real estate, including metropolitan districts and water law, local government, and contracts in private practice, local government, and corporate legal settings. In 2018, Ms. Beyer formed her own law firm, Beyer & Associates, LLC.

In Ms. Beyer’s free time, she is an avid road biker, skier, swimmer, and triathlete, who enjoys everything about Colorado that you can do in the great outdoors.
